New York City AHAVA Boycott Demonstrations

This week we will join with other groups using the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions Campaign to pressure the Israeli government to respect human rights & international law, and to raise money for an important documentary film about Operation Cast Lead, the assault on Gaza.

Friday, July 9th-Meet at 107 Montague Street in Brooklyn Heights, between Henry and Hicks CODEPINK NYC joins Brooklyn for Peace at noon on Montague Street in Brooklyn for a STOLEN BEAUTY AHAVA Boycott Demonstration to mark the 5th Anniversary of the Palestinian civil society boycott call.  Take 2,3,4,5,N or ,R trains to Court St / Borough Hall–exit at Montague Street and walk two blocks toward the river.
Where: 107 Montague Street, Brooklyn

Saturday, July 10th 11:30 am- Meet at Aroma Expresso Bar 145 Green Street. And if Friday mid-day is no good for you, there will be another opportunity to protest AHAVA & Ricky’s as part of Adalah-NY’s Off-Off-Broadway BDS Musical Tour on July 10th at 11:30 a.m.  Tour steps off promptly at noon.
Where: 145 Green Street @ corner of Houston & Greene

Thursday, July 15th from 6-9 p.m. at he home of Helen Schiff & Rick Congress (20 East 9th Street between University & 5th). Please come to a fundraising party to support the development of Fida Qishta’s documentary “Where Should the Birds Fly?” about the assault on Gaza. Fida QIshta is a 26-year-old Palestinian journalist, videographer and teacher from the city of Rafah in the Gaza Strip.

Contributions will be tax deductible.
